About the Role
Nokia's Network Infrastructure group works on technologies that enable modern connectivity and network capacity.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will work on network management software, including microservices and NMS platform functionality. The position combines software engineering with networking and optical/transport network technologies.
The role also places unusual emphasis on AI-assisted software development, specifically tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in the full software development lifecycle for network-management features.
Develop microservices and integrate open-source software for NMS platform functionality.
Collaborate through code reviews, pair programming and design discussions.
Contribute to software architecture improvements.
Build scalable and robust solutions for optical/transport network operations.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Troubleshoot defects and optimize NMS software performance.
