Weekday is a YC-backed technology company focused on software development and talent/recruitment technology. This internship provides an opportunity for an entry-level candidate to work with experienced engineers and contribute to real-world software projects.
Job Description
The Software Engineering Intern will assist with designing, developing, testing and debugging software features. The role involves working with experienced engineers, learning new technologies and contributing to system improvements in a fast-paced development environment.
Eligibility
0 years of experience; freshers can apply
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Information Technology
Related technical field
Basic knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms
Understanding of software development fundamentals
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java | Python | JavaScript | C++
Good problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork
Strong willingness to learn
Nice to have: Web frameworks, cloud platforms, AI/ML tools, GitHub projects, previous internship experience and Agile development exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and test software features
Debug software issues
Improve system performance
Work with experienced software engineers
Learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows
Contribute to real-world projects
Collaborate with the engineering team
Must Know: Programming + DSA + OOP + Git/GitHub + Software Development Basics
Recommended: Java/Python/JavaScript → DSA → OOP → SQL → REST APIs → Git/GitHub → Web Development
Project: Build and deploy at least 1–2 practical projects and maintain them on GitHub.
